Google Cloud Integration for Product Feed Import

Storyly offers Google Cloud integration to import Product Feeds. If your organization keeps Product Feeds on the Google Cloud Platform, you can utilize this integration and import Product Feeds easily with a few clicks. To do that, you can follow the steps below.

1. The first step is to create a Service Account for Storyly. Please navigate to the IAM & Admin and find Service Accounts on the Google Cloud. Click on the + CREATE SERVICE ACCOUNT button at the top.

2. After giving a name to the Service Account, click on the CREATE AND CONTINUE.

3. At the 2nd step, please select the Storage Object Admin role and then click on DONE.

🚧

Warning

Storyly needs Storage Object Admin permission only for the designated bucket, not for the whole cloud storage.

4. The Service Account is created. Now, click on the account and go into the Details.

5. Please navigate to the KEYS tab, ADD KEY and select the Create new key option.

6. Select the JSON as the key type and CREATE.

7. Once the JSON Key is created, it's going to be downloaded automatically to your Downloads.

8. Now, let's move on to the Storyly Dashboard. Under Settings > Data Management > Products section, click on the Add new feed option at the top right. On the right pane, click to the Import from Google Cloud option.

9. At this step, please give a name to the Feed, enter your Google Cloud Bucket Name and upload the generated JSON Key.

10. If the Google Cloud Bucket Name and the JSON Key are correct, you'll see the list of available files under that bucket. You can select one from the list to import.

11. On the next 2 steps, match the fields with the corresponding data points in your feed. Once you've matched all the necessary fields, hit Save and initiate the import process.

12. Depending on the size of the Feed, it may take a couple of minutes for the import process to be completed. Once imported, you'll see your Product Feed under the Feeds section. Then, you can create Shoppable experiences with Storyly!
