How the Feed is Synced on Your App/Web
The product data in your content is synced on a daily basis. So, if there’s a change in one of the products in the feed, Storyly pulls up-to-date data at the next sync cycle. The 24-hour timer of the sync starts from the moment you upload the XML. (If you’d like to define an exact sync time, please let us know.)
If you need to sync the feed before the next daily sync, you can use the “Sync Now” button to synchronize the feed manually. This option will be helpful whenever there is a big change in your feed and it needs to be reflected in the content. But if the product information is dynamic during the day and should be updated many times, there is another method, Product Hydration, that syncs your product information in every session. Product Hydration is explained in the section below.
If a product becomes unavailable but still exists in the feed, we make the related product unselectable for the “Add to Cart” option. If there's a Product Catalog in the Story, and if one of the products is no longer available, that product is removed from the Catalog. If there's no product available for the Story, the Story gets hidden.
