Using External Data & Audiences to Create Personalized Stories
Using your mobile data to create Personalized Stories
You can now create personalized stories with the custom data that you send from your own tools (including personalization platform, CRM & database, recommendation engine) to the Storyly SDK. The data that you send will be user-specific so that Stories will be unique to each user.

First you can create a personalized Story Group from your dashboard.
Add Story Group → Create Personalized Stories → Create Using Mobile Data

After that, select a template as you wish, we have multiple sample templates built-in already but you can always create your own template to move on. To create your own template Template Studio is where you heading.

You can add static and dynamic components on your template. Placeholders are for the data coming from your feed as you set. We have CTA (button & swipe-up) placeholders, text placeholders and media placeholders. Remember, you can use layers on your template to keep components in order. It is really easy to use, just select the component you want to change layer, click on the layer icon and sent it to forward, backward etc.
Your placeholders in the template needs to be exactly matched with your external data to work properly.
For example; your template has 4 placeholders; "user_name", "current_date", "swipe_name" and "swipe_gift_url". CTA (Swipe Up) has also a Swipe URL which we named "swipe_gift_url".
Your mobile data needs to have "user_name", "current_date", "swipe_name" and "swipe_gift_url", otherwise, your Stories won't be created as you wish.
When your template and Story Group are ready to use, you have to integrate your external data, this is the key value pairs that are going to feed your dynamic placeholders. The key enables you to name tags that will match with your placeholder names that you gave in the Template Studio. The value is what this data source equals to which is unique for each user. Be careful to match the placeholder names with the key of your data sources.
